I have been writing professionally for nearly a decade.

But for fun since I was 7.

It started with family newsletters. Then, at 22, I woke up in my Washington, DC basement room and said aloud, “I want to be a writer.” So I did what any lost rookie writer would do: Get a master’s degree in creative nonfiction. However, I soon discovered I wasn’t a write-alone-in-a-cabin person, so I switched to collaborative copywriting and content design. It surprised me how much I liked it.

I have also recently taken up boxing and am trying not to hurt myself.
